Kannawidan Festival

Kannawidan Festival is celebrated annually at Ilocos Sur. It’s a way of showcasing the culture, having awareness to the traditions and practices, and also with the agricultures and industries of the said province.
Several activities were lined up for the celebration like the drug race, the parade of antique cars and bikes, T-shirt printing etc. A battle of beauty and brains will also be conducted.
Every town has their own OTOP (One Town, One Product) to sell. During Kannawidan, they are all placed in one area, and people love to go there, buy new crafts, furniture, some decorations, and also foods.  There is also a Carnival for the youth, especially the kids to enjoy.

Life is a Dream. Realize It.

At the age of 5, I’ve spent my time in school without any goal. As I grow up, I realized that my dreams will just be dreams if I will not set a goal.
I have dreams for the future like everyone else have. I want to do so many things. Of course, I want to have a well-paid job as a Psychiatric specialist someday, curing people with mental disabilities. I want to help them love the world again like they did before. Aside from that, I want to become a Civil Engineer, doing all kinds of projects to improve infrastructures and build houses for the shelter less. I believe that we shall all have the same privileges like to have a place to live in.
At some point, I also want to do other things. I want to travel the world. I’m so curious about the cultures of different countries. I want to know the differences of the people in every country. To sum it up, I also want to fly with the birds, swim with the sharks, step on the moon, and experience life to the limits.
It’s okay to have big dreams. For us to attain these dreams, set a goal. Have determination. My first goal for now is to have a diploma. This is one of the keys to achieve my other goals.

Change: Start it with Yourself

Change can be a word that seems akin to a great scheme once intended to a person. Us, the youth of today can change or transform in a way that will make our life more superior. Things should be done in a different way; with an outcome that gives you progress.  But you should start it with yourself.
Think of your past. Think of your short comings. Think of your failures. Think of those people who once made you feel you’re worthless, you’re useless. Think of those people who have hurt you. Then start thinking how will you change your past into a better one. Think of a way on how you will prove them that you are also worthy and useful.
I’m not saying that you’ll change just to let the people of your past know what they've than is a mistake. It’s about considering the possibility of the need for a change in the future, for a better future.

To Make an End is to Make a Beginning

New stuffs for New Year is for some. "New Year. Gonna need to change," some say. There are also people that are very fond in making resolutions but not in fulfilling it. Everyone of us has our own perspective when it comes to New Year.

New Year always seemed to me as a beginning of a new cycle. But this year, it will be a way to the path of self-development BUT I never write detailed resolutions. The most important thing is I know how will I manage everything and understanding my plans for the future

But you don't need to wait for a  new year again. It's not necessary to wait for that time for you to start all over. You're not going to begin again next year instead continue what you've started for your self-improvement or self-development until the end.

We're Almost There

We're almost there to the end of school year, one grading left. At the very first day of this grading, I didn't know how can I manage everything. Of course, I expected complicated ad difficult tasks and requirements. I really do. Well, let's see how I overcome these things.

Posting in our Blogs is not an easy one. My computer was damaged. My station in the computer lab has a very slow internet connection. To be honest, I'm an impatient person when it comes to internet connection. I easily get upset so never in my 4th year life that I'd used my station in posting in my blog. Sacrifice is really needed here. I went to computer shops and go home very late at night just to do these things. It's not an easy task but then, I still learned something here. Take good care of your computer.

Another one is the lessons in HTML Tags. It's very hard to memorize different tags. It's very confusing. The actrivities were not that too much difficult. I enjoyed and learned a lot from this. I still can't believe that I survived in the world of HTML Tags.

That's all for this grading. More to come. 4th Grading Period is coming. Strive more and be patient.

Everyday is Christmas

"We wish you a Merry Christmas. We wish you a Merry Christmas. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."

Children are everywhere in the streets again, singing Christmas songs. Every house was filled with very colorful Christmas lights. People start to prepare for the holiday several weeks maybe before December 25. The preparation begins by buying gifts, food for Noche Buena, and decorations for the house. Of course the celebration will not be completed without realizing the true essence of it.

They say that it's the season of love, of giving, thanking and forgiving everyone. But for me, the mentioned positive traits should not just be practiced during the said season. Everyday is Christmas. We should give glory to God everyday for his unfailing love to us for He has given His son for us sinners to be saved. We should know the true essence of it. Don't just celebrate it. Don't just have fun. Learn to thank for all the blessings you received. Learn to appreciate things even if it's just a small thing.
