We're Almost There

We're almost there to the end of school year, one grading left. At the very first day of this grading, I didn't know how can I manage everything. Of course, I expected complicated ad difficult tasks and requirements. I really do. Well, let's see how I overcome these things.

Posting in our Blogs is not an easy one. My computer was damaged. My station in the computer lab has a very slow internet connection. To be honest, I'm an impatient person when it comes to internet connection. I easily get upset so never in my 4th year life that I'd used my station in posting in my blog. Sacrifice is really needed here. I went to computer shops and go home very late at night just to do these things. It's not an easy task but then, I still learned something here. Take good care of your computer.

Another one is the lessons in HTML Tags. It's very hard to memorize different tags. It's very confusing. The actrivities were not that too much difficult. I enjoyed and learned a lot from this. I still can't believe that I survived in the world of HTML Tags.

That's all for this grading. More to come. 4th Grading Period is coming. Strive more and be patient.

Everyday is Christmas

"We wish you a Merry Christmas. We wish you a Merry Christmas. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."

Children are everywhere in the streets again, singing Christmas songs. Every house was filled with very colorful Christmas lights. People start to prepare for the holiday several weeks maybe before December 25. The preparation begins by buying gifts, food for Noche Buena, and decorations for the house. Of course the celebration will not be completed without realizing the true essence of it.

They say that it's the season of love, of giving, thanking and forgiving everyone. But for me, the mentioned positive traits should not just be practiced during the said season. Everyday is Christmas. We should give glory to God everyday for his unfailing love to us for He has given His son for us sinners to be saved. We should know the true essence of it. Don't just celebrate it. Don't just have fun. Learn to thank for all the blessings you received. Learn to appreciate things even if it's just a small thing.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Everyone belongs to this world. No one should be discriminated, bullied, and treated like a monster. We are all living in the same planet, under the same sun and having the same moon. . Anyone must have equal rights to attain equal opportunities.

From the very start, since we were born, we already have the right. Our rights are born with us. But this equal rights are being violated and many of us are suffering, especially those who are at the bottom. They are not given the chance to show what they've got. They are being discriminated. We all know that we can't get what we need and want in just a second. We need to work for it. We need a job.

Some companies, in hiring employees, they will look on the physical appearance first. They judge a book by its cover. If you're good-looking one, well and good but if you looked ragged, well, better luck next time. You will be rejected. Why are they like this? How could the people at the bottom progress if that's the case? The ones who are at the bottom will remain at the bottom and the ones at the top will remain on top.

Equal rights for everyone is needed to attain equal opportunities. It should not be violated so that everyone of us will be given the chance to have "a happily ever after."

Looking Forward

Another challenges have encountered. Some of us are troubled and bothered. But the most important thing right now is we have already overcome Second Grading Period.
In my way to the end, obstacles and hindrances trapped my way. There are so many trials which tested my faith and the things I can. In this grading, harder lessons, harder exams, harder activities etc. where discovered and observed. Still, I'm thankful for these things because these really developed and enhances my skills and more information were stocked in my mind. The most horrible thing that happened was the day when we went at the Principal's Office. No need to mention what was happened there. It is confidential. Maxwell was tested here. The unity, the bonding were really tested.
Now, I'm looking forward for more information, lessons, and trials that could really improve my faith, ability and my intelligence.

Think. Realize. Make an Action

We are living in this world not to please people so much but to please God, the best way we can. We are created not to destroy but to care what God has given to us. But come to think of it. What is happening to our Earth now? It is being destroyed by the people living in it.
Now, it started to dawn us that the eye of the storm is already behind us. But us, people are not yet that satisfied of what we did to our Earth. Some people want more destruction. Am I right? Why are we doing such things like these? Throwing garbage everywhere, burning plastics, building factories which contributed in the pollution of air, cutting trees, abusing our Mother Earth. Why don't you care for our Mother Earth? We are already suffering. Why does your mind not yet enlightened? Think Realize. Make an Action.
The best way we can do now is to heal our world and make it a better place. It is more fun to live in a place where everything is fine and okay. Think of  solutions, realize the effects and let us make an action for the betterment of our world.

My Teacher, My Hero

“A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.”

Teachers are very important in this whole world. They are the ones who always help us in our lessons. All of them teach us different lessons in all aspects of life and they serve us fairly. Our teachers are our second parents. They are our guidance when we are in school. They care for us. Our teachers treat us like their children. They are my angels. They are my HERO. They are gifts from heaven. They are so amazing. They see tomorrow in every child’s eye. All our teachers are very intelligent and they really deserve to be called our hero. They open our minds and touch our hearts. They always lead us to the right way or path.

All of you my dear teachers, I SALUTE YOU! :) Thank you for teaching me how to have the strength to face all the trials, obstacles or any challenges in my life. Thank you so much.

MODERN-DAY HERO: The guy I used to be with...

Since the day I saw the beauty of this world, I already had my hero. A hero who is always there. As time goes by, I met new people and became part of my life. All of them, my family, friends and loved ones are considered my heroes. However, I just wanted to tell and share to you one of my heroes; the guy I used to be with.

I've got a couple of things that I'd like to tell about a guy who knows me quite me very well. He knows what makes me sad and mad but when I'm with him, I know I'm never mad. It's really a big blessing for me to have him, my best friend, my hero. He's a best friend who's always at my side. No matter what the reason is, he will always be there 'til the end. I said that he is my hero because I can always count on him. Every time I need to talk or I'm sad and feeling blue, he always understand and gives me his point of view. When I'm troubled, I'll just go to him and he will just listen then gives me words of wisdom.

His unconditional friendship showed me the person I am inside, and just to be myself is something I never have to hide. We've been each other's ups and downs just to get to where we are. In sickness and in health, in poorer and in richer, no matter what will happen, we will still be the coolest and weirdest friends on Earth. He will still be my forever best friend, my hero.

The Month of August is the celebration for our language, the Filipino Language. The theme for this celebration is, "Wika Natin ang Daan Matuwid." The Club officers conducted activities which serve as tool to encourage the students to use the Filipino language and to be proud of it. It is really important for us, Fiipinos to learn and give importance to our own language because it is our identity. Our language tied different regions in our country which have different language. It serves as an instrument to us, Filipinos to understand each other and avoid some troubles and misunderstandings.

When it comes to the English language, yes it is also important for the Filipinos to be able to communicate with it but, everyone who thinks of himself as Filipino has also the responsibility to love the country of his birth and naturally, his language. It is only the language that seem to be the remaining link of the Filipino spirit and his potential towards a lasting national identity.  So we must be proud of it!

THE BEGINNING

Fourth year life begins. New learning and new discoveries in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is gained. It was my first time to use blogspot in blogging. It's not my first to have a blogging site but then I still encountered some troubles in exploring this kind of blog site. I was confused with the different parts. In exploring, you really need extra patience. In just a moment of time, I am already familiar with the some menus and parts of the blog.

I am troubled on how will I construct an essay with the given topics in just one or two nights. It's so hard to manage my time. I'm not that good in constructing an essay. It takes  several days for me to construct an attractive essay.  But then, I tried my best. I tried to make an essay; a good essay. I know my best is not enough to say that I've made a very good essay but at least, I did my best. :)

Well, it's just the beginning. There are more things coming along my way; more challenging and more adventurous. I am now ready to face the next challenge.

SONA

President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III stated his 4th State Of the Nation Address last July 22, 2013. In his SONA , he mentioned so many things that will really help in the improvement of the country's economy. There are so many projects that he wanted.

We have different reactions and understandings about this event. I don't believe that PNOY can accomplish all what he have said in his SONA. Of course there will still be things that our President can successfully accomplish but one thing is sure. Not all of us will be benefited. This is because there are still some Filipinos that are not yet reached by the government. They will not feel the the improvements that will be done.

It's not that I don't trust PNOY's administration. I just wanted to voice out my opinions, understandings and my observations. Yes, he did a lot. But those things are not yet enough to please all his countrymen.

Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama Nating Wakasan

Foods, specifically snacks like junk foods are commonly taken by the kids. They like to take 'merienda' more rather than taking their regular meal. they are fond of eating chocolates, candies and some other sweet foods than vegetables because for them, these foods are yummier than that of vegetables. Because of this, more Filipino kids are now suffering from malnutrition.                     Malnutrition and starvation are common problem to the Filipino families especially the kids. Not all families can take their meal three times a day. Due to this, some of them suffered from starvation. There are some families that can eat three times a day but still, some are being malnourished. It is because they don't want to take those foods that have a high-nutritive value. Some of them don't even want to eat cheap foods without realizing that these are also nutritious.
As a student, I am very much concern regarding on this matter. We should be united as one to end these starvation and malnutrition. Let us encourage everyone to utilize and give importance to the plants in our environment or surroundings that are edible like the 'kangkong',' malunggay', 'kamote' and others that can be seen around us.

Letter to the President

Brgy. Villamar
Caoayan, Ilocos Sur
July    7, 2013

President Benigno Simeon Aquino III
Republic of the Philippines
MalacaƱang Palace

Dear Mr. President,

          Warm greetings!
It was such a great honor and opportunity to write a letter directly to you. I am just a simple student of Ilocos Sur National High School. Though in the eyes of others I am not yet mature enough, I still have the right to know what's going on in our country and I have the right to express my insights regarding on the happenings in our country.
Since the day I've entered ISNHS, I was already an observer. Lack of materials of the teachers and lack of classrooms are the common problem of school until now. Materials are not enough for the teachers to teach the students the way they wanted to. It's very hard to teach without any references regarding on the topics. Lack of classrooms in a school may affect the concentration of students on their studies. I've observed that some classes would go under the trees just to have their class which is not that comfortable. I suggest sir that each class should have their own classrooms to stay in and may the teachers be provided with enough educational materials.
I hope sir that you will importance on this letter. Thank you so much. May God bless you.

Respectfully Yours,
Lijean May Ragunjan
